A new era of responsibility

President Obama said in his inaugural speech that this is a “new era of responsibility”. That we Americans need to be responsible, but I wonder, how responsible is in that in this time of war and financial crisis, that one of the first things he does is send millions of our tax dollars to fund the murder of babies around the world.
He said, “To the people of poor nations, we pledge to work alongside you to make your farms flourish and let clean waters flow; to nourish starved bodies and feed hungry minds.” – no mention of paying to murder their children.
He talked of America being “a friend of each nation and every man, woman, and child who seeks a future of peace and dignity” – how does this not apply to babies?
He said that “a parent's willingness to nurture a child” is one of the things that “decides our fate” as a nation.
He warns others about “slaughtering innocents” but signs a law that will send our tax dollars to do just that.
You may say that this funding does not kill babies, just the unborn fetus. That is bunk. We all need to get past this little lie the killers push to make themselves feel better and admit that these are human children. As a parent I know that from the moment we found out Melissa was expecting the girls we knew there was a human life in there. No doubts in our minds.
I agree with almost everything President Obama said in his speech, but I guess these words don’t count for the innocent unborn – “The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.”
Keep praying for America in our “new era of responsibility”.

Couldn't agree more, Mike! We'll keep praying! I watched an amazing interview yesterday with Alveda King, the niece of MLK, who talked of PP's systematic PURPOSEFUL destruction of the AA community. So sad. Miracles still happen, though, and that's what we're praying for.

I don't know if it's ok for me to post a link in my comment but I read a great article online today regarding the "culture of responsibility".
Your points are right on and I pray that more of us will speak up and exercise our freedom of speech!
